As Sacramento slowly emerged from the pandemic, SHA worked overtime in 2022 to make sure people in the Sacramento region maintained Safe and affordable housing. Among our biggest highlights, we:
- Helped establish a Community Benefits Agreement for the Aggie Square development
- Hosted the Eighth Annual Region Affordable Housing Summit
- Presented the Housing Hero Awards
- Transitioned affordable housing units to all-electric
- Helped expand the Sacramento County Sewage Fee Waiver Program
- Assisted in the city of Sacramento earning California’s first Prohousing Designation
- Monitored local adherence to state housing law
- CalAIM program advocacy
- Conducted affordable housing tours throughout the region
